How ClaudeVBA handles data

Last updated: August 2026

ClaudeVBA is developed, published, and operated by LIMONTHE AS, Norwegian organization number 938 182 957, Mokollveien 38B, 3226 Sandefjord, Norway.

Data path

  1. Companion reads only the Active workbook selected on your computer.
  2. Claude sends a scoped tool request through the ClaudeVBA cloud relay.
  3. Companion returns the requested result through that relay to Anthropic and Claude.
  4. Staging, backup, and deployment happen on your computer.

What is not stored in ClaudeVBA cloud

ClaudeVBA does not intentionally persist workbook files, worksheet content, or VBA source in its cloud database. Those contents can pass through the relay in tool requests and responses, and Anthropic processes the content included in your Claude conversation. Operational infrastructure may process transient network data and service logs.

What ClaudeVBA cloud stores

What stays local

Companion settings, the selected workbook path, staging copies, backups, and local audit records stay on the user's computer unless the user moves or shares those files.

Third-party processing

Anthropic's terms, privacy policy, and plan-specific data controls apply to Claude conversations and connector results. Stripe's terms apply to payment data. Team and Enterprise administrators may also apply organization retention and connector policies.

User controls

You choose the Active workbook, can inspect changes before staging, and must confirm live deployment locally. Disable the connector in Claude or deactivate Companion to stop access. Contact daniel@claudevba.com for account-data questions or deletion requests.
